I spent the weekend at the National Menopause Show, and wow — what an empowering experience! ✨
Being surrounded by women who shine, care, and lift each other up reminded me just how powerful we are when we share, support, and learn together. 💕
Here’s what really stood out for me 👇
💪 Movement matters. Strength training + cardio aren’t just for fitness — they help balance hormones, boost energy, and protect our hearts.
😴 Sleep is medicine. Good sleep hygiene supports mood, metabolism, and overall vitality.
💗 Heart health = hormone health. Dr. Amy shared that estrogen protects against heart disease. When it drops, our risk for heart issues, diabetes, belly fat, and brain fog rises — something that really hit home for me personally.
🌿 I also met Dr. Jacqui Fleury, ND — creator of The Sludge. She shared that many menopause symptoms start in the gut.

I am committed to empowering myself and others to navigate perimenopause symptoms, with the ultimate goal of unlocking our full potential and enhancing our overall wellbeing. A recent diagnosis revealed that I have a genetic condition characterized by elevated LDL levels due to high lipoprotein(a) levels, thereby increasing my risk of heart attack, stroke, and arteriosclerosis. Furthermore, I am learning that the hormonal fluctuations associated with perimenopause also contribute to elevated lipoprotein(a) levels. My mission is to identify innovative strategies that will enable me to live a longer, healthier life, while also supporting others who face similar challenges. In addition to the genetic condition, I experience a range of symptoms, including bloating, weight gain, brain fog, loss of collagen and elastin, headaches, and mood swings. These symptoms can be embarrassing to discuss, but I am no longer held back thanks to the empowering 'We don't care' movement. I firmly believe that women must come together to support one another and share their experiences. To that end, I will continue to investigate new approaches to alleviating the debilitating side effects caused by hormonal shifts during perimenopause.
