The skin is thoroughly cleansed to remove makeup, oils, and impurities. A topical anesthetic is applied for comfort during microneedling, which creates micro-injuries in the skin. After microneedling, a light PCA chemical peel is applied, and the micro-channels created by the microneedles allow for deeper penetration of the peel. The peel is neutralized or left to self-neutralize as needed.
